Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC): Resources to Support Use of Pharmacogenomics in the Electronic Health RecordEfforts to support the successful adoption of pharmacogenetics into the electronic health record (EHR) with clinical decision support (CDS) requires specialized clinical knowledge. The Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium provides these knowledge resources. Through CPIC’s Informatics Working Group, EHR-agnostic implementation resources are systematically developed and incorporated into all CPIC guidelines. These resources organize essential clinical pharmacogenetic knowledge and illustrate best practices to facilitate the use of a patient’s available pharmacogenetic data at the point of care.
