With their unique role at the intersection of population health data and technology, Health Information Exchanges are supporting innovative and feasible approaches to enabling better linkages between healthcare and social service providers across the country. Healthcare and public health organizations continue to explore how multi-sector data sharing and collaboration can help improve community health. HIEs are partnering on the development of “use cases”, shared governance, and data-informed interventions to improve health.
